Photograph Of John Hubbard who lived at Crooked River – Wonnangatta Junction bred and ran horses on Moroka and Mt Wellington. He built the “”old Horse Yards”” of mortised posts and split rails on the Moroka flats. Wild horses which descended from Hubbard’s are still seen in the area. He was known to trade horses in the mining days
