SCOPE OF COLLECTION
The HCHH has been established to preserve all of those pieces of history that exist in the personal collections of the High Country families, but also attempts to include the broader history of the high country, its people, the places, the challenges, the stories.
The High Country History Hub (HCHH) can best be described as the memory of the high country.
By digitising and cataloguing ‘High Country’ records that reflect the history and identity of the high country and its people, the collection traces events and decisions that have helped shaped the nation, preserving a significant story of Australia’s cultural heritage and identity.
The collection includes publications, speeches, correspondence, committee minutes, newsletters, reports, submissions, personal papers, press releases, a significant photographic collection and videos.
