Woods Point after the 1939 fires. From the ashes of the disastrous January fires, which gutted the little township of Woods Point, bright new houses rising above the road. Here an old resident of the mining and timber town, stands on ruins of what was once the local Post Office, and points out to a visitor the rise of the new buildings.
