View of Woods Point in the 1970s. The Commercial Hotel is just below the centre of the photograph, The Colonial Bank is two doors to the left. The Church of England is to the right of centre. The Kennedy Niagara Hotel is slightly off-centre. This very steep hill got its name from the hotel. The road to Matlock went a fair way up this hill and turned left. The new road went right through the hotel. O’Keefe and Carey (established later that this picture) was located a couple of doors to the left of the Niagara Hotel.
