The young Hector Stewart with the 1929 the Master Six Buick at the old Post Office, Woods Point. Dickie seats folded out from the back of the front seat to provide for 7 passengers. Note the large tyres and wooden wheel spokes. This car carried the Royal Mail about 250,000 km over 6 years until about 1937. Hector Stewart was born in 1911. The son of Hector, Neville Stewart, (the brother of Barry Stewart (his wife Lynette)), looks so much like Hector in this photo. Lynette Stewart (husband deceased) continues to operate “Stewart Bus Lines” who have the school bus contract. (noted 2012)
