Portrait photograph of William McNeil, shoemaker and post master, Red Jacket. From 1874 to 1906 the responsibility of postmaster passed through a number of hands, the last being Mr William McNeil, who was also the local bootmaker. He held the position well into the twentieth century. The telephone was connected about 1910.
