De Dion (6h.p.) car in High Street, Mansfield in 1901. The first car to cross Black’s Spur, via Alexandra and Mansfield. Cecil De Fraga was the driver and with him were Councillor D.P. Begley, Mr C. L. Lloyd (of Malvern) and the late Herbert Sargood. (A. H. Sargood (rear left) brought the first car to Mansfield in 1907.)
