Dick Forrest and Peter Purcell, in partnership, taking cattle into Mitchells Creek for summer grazing (On the narrow Bridle Track) up the Jamieson River 1978-1980. Commentary by Dick Forrest: The beautiful open grassy plains of Mitchells that fattened 150 young cattle. When we camped in there in the 70s we never saw any deer and never any wild dogs. I have camped in there is the 90s and was surprised to see so many deer and wild dogs howling on the ridges at night. The beautiful grassy fields are now overgrown with wattles and suckers. It is a shocking waste of such a lovely place.
