Dick Forrest and Peter Purcell, in partnership, taking cattle into Mitchells Creek for summer grazing (On the narrow Bridle Track) up the Jamieson River 1978-1980. Cattle walking through beautiful tree ferns and scrub. It is a great shame all this has Commentary by Dick Forrest: been stopped. The Government pay people to keep the bridle track open for bushwalkers. We did it for nothing. Mitchells is now a very small area of grassy plains xxx the rest is all overgrown with wattles and suckers. Deer everywhere and wild dogs last time I went in there. A spectacular place ruined by not being used for grazing.
