Burns Bridge near Jamieson, looking south. The bridge was built in 1901 by J. Murphy for 1,000 pounds. This structure was washed away by floods in the early 1920s and was replaced by a similar timber bridge. This locality was known as Sangers Bridge, and also as Goulburn Crossing. George Sanger had the Bridge Inn (just across the bridge on the left) until the eighties, when Bill Burns took over.
